My husband received authorisation for oxygen due to breathing problems. They specifically told me he can have the concentrator and a back-up cylinder (only 1 per month) in the event of load shedding. Comes the new month and his cylinder is empty because we've had quite a bit of load shedding and he is told he has to pay for the new cylinder by the service provider OxyGen because the Scheme will not pay for it. Why is he having to pay for it out of pocket when his authorisation letter indicates he will be covered especially since he's using a DSP?
