Authorisation for Specialist consultation
The last time I contacted Bonitas regarding the above I received authorisation numbers without any problem. Received good service from them. Prior to that I was refused an authorisation number because I didn't have GP Referral letter - I got to see Dr Mark José in hospital for the first time and needed to consult with him 2 months after the operation and then obviously I didn't have a GP Referral letter. It makes no sense at all. Now you have to waste money to see a GP for a Referral letter and then pay for a Specialist consultation and the TOTAL AMOUNT for GP/SPECIAIST is only R5330 for 2 adults and 1 minor. Make it make sense.
