3months waiting period with no membership break

I have just changed my medical aid from Discovery to Bonitas for a lower premium option as I hardly use my medical aid, I have no chronic condition and no admission in hospital in the last 9 years I was covered by Discovery and my last planned procedure was over 10 years ago, I was covered by Bankmed medical aid, for 5 years. I changed a medical aid as I was looking for something closer to a hospital plan with limited out of hospital benefit. My membership application was approved with 3months waiting period even though I dont have break inbetween my Discovery and Bonitas membership. I sent an email in October to query the waiting period as it did not make sense how the underwriting got to the decision. I have not received any response. It's been a bottom of the ba*****t type of service from the application process stage to the finalization. Dealing with someone who doesnt even make an effort in writing a standard business email. A welcome to Bonitas email was so primary school it was a blank email with a membership certificate attached. Whats disappointing about this service is this medical aid was recommended by someone with a chronic conditions that also moved from Discovery to Bonitas , she was underwritten differently as there was no 3months waiting period imposed. It's ridiculous business practice when a company doesnt have a stardardised underwriting rules, as it doesnt make sense to impose a 3 months waiting period to someone who has NO planned procedure. No medical condition. No break inbetween memberships.
