Conned by Bonduplus

Their promise is to help people to secure bonds of higher value by forming a partnership with them by forming a trust. I app**** and after completing forms and paying them admin fees (R10 000,00) I was offered a bond of R1 387 870,00. Ordinarily I would have qualified for around R600 000,00 bond at the time. I signed everything and returned the documents to them ... and then I waited. 6 months down the line there was still no bond! After several follow ups through their agency that I had done all the administration and payments through I decided to contact Bonduplus directly.

I was eventually put through Chris Gillam who is in charge of the company finances in November 2016, he is Director of Bonduplus. After long email exchanges, I agreed to wait for January 2017 when the funds would have been available, according to Chris Gillam. On 08 February 2017 I sent Chris an email and attached my new payslip and requested that they review my bond approval since I had had a salary increase. He did not respond to this email. On 19 April 2017 I sent a follow-up email about everything and reminded him that I had previously requested my R10 000,00 back if they are unable to assist me - still no response to this email. On 16 May 2017 I sent yet another follow-up email and demanded my money back or I was taking the matter to the Small Claims Court if there was no response by 26 May 2017 - nothing from Chris Gillam.

I then made good of my promise and took the matter to Court. The court date was set for 25 July 2017. I sent the summons via the Sheriff as required by the court. It was served to Chris but he did not bother showing up to Court. The ruling was in my favour. The letter for him to pay me within 14 days was delivered to him - still no response, nor payment. The attitude of this man is shocking!!!

Perhaps he thinks I will give up... Not in this lifetime. I will make sure he pays me back my hard earned money. Luckily the courts have the power to attach their assets and sell them in order to pay me what is due.

Everyone out there - be very careful.... there are a lot of *****ed companies out there, disguised as a solution to your financial problems!!!
