Buying school clothes should not feel this offensive!!

<p>Buying school clothes can be an expensive exercise for any parent but when you know you are being taken advantage of, it can be a terrible experience.</p> <p>The fact that you have no choice but to purchase from one exclusive supplier makes it even more difficult.</p> <p>On Friday 21/04/2017 my husband purchased a school tracksuit from Bon Marche in Heidelberg, the exclusive supplier of AG Visser School uniform.</p> <p>We tried it on at home but my son battled to get his hands through the elastic at the wrists (even though the tracksuit was oversized)</p> <p>I took the tracksuit back on Saturday 22/04/2017. The service was friendly and Elise swop the garment for a different make without question.</p> <p>We were in a hurry and I now regret not fitting the garment properly in the shop.</p> <p>On Monday morning my son could not get his hand through the arm of the tracksuit top, we discovered that the inside lining had been twisted and then sewn on, he could not wear the tracksuit top to school.</p> <p>I contacted Bon Marche and told them that I need to exchange the jacket again, I was told that I could not exchange the jacket without the pants. I was also told that I could have it fixed myself and just bring them a slip for a partial refund.</p> <p>I did not accept this and went to the shop and insisted that they exchange the jacket. I asked that the owner, Stanley, contact me urgently and left my details with Elise.</p> <p>The complaint that I have regarding the tracksuit is:</p> <p>It looks cheap<br />The material is very low quality (especially for pre-schoolers that play and fall)<br />The workmanship is shoddy with skew and irregular stitching.<br />It is out of proportion and ill-fitting<br />It is not warm for the winter months when it is supposed to be worn<br />And at R419.00 it is severely overpriced.</p>
