Stay far away from Bolt or you'll end up like me

To begin, I have been using taxi services such as Uber and bolt for as long as 4 years and most of my experiences with Bolt as a rider have been quite unsavory, barring the one or 2 positive experiences I have had. I have always felt unsafe as a young female rider and their support Team is non- existent for both riders and drivers. The reason I have continued using bolt is due to the discounts I would sometimes get as I work quite far from my home and am working 3 jobs just to keep afloat so anywhere I can save is of course beneficial. 23 September 2022 was the final straw for me and has brought me to Hello Peter because then hopefully someone will listen. I had ordered a bolt around 7:30-40 on a discount price of R194. The ride was going quite well as there was minimal traffic on the N1 and my driver seemed polite enough, not bothering me as I was doing some work on my phone. We were nearing my office situated in NorthGate Business Park, Brooklyn (Cape Town) when my driver decided to turn while the robot was still red, (not an uncommon trait with bolt drivers) 2 cars saw us and stopped however the 3rd hadn't- as it was a 3 way lane- and drove straight into the passenger seat in which I was sitting. The door caved in so initially I struggled to get out, however the driver assisted me by moving the other car out of the way. Due to adrenaline I hadn't felt the severe bruising and inflammation all along my legs, arm and head that was later to come. Being only 19 years of age and never in an accident before, I called a colleague of mine to take me to the office before contacting my dad who, an hour later, took me to the hospital. I immediately ended the ride on my App and notified Bolt support of what had just taken place. I later requested a refund as I noticed the money was taken from my account and sent through a claim for my medical expense. The whole day I received no support from Bolt, simply pre-made responses, no matter how many times I contacted them through the App and via email. Saturday 24 September comes round and I finally received an emailed response at 12am SAST requesting my cell number linked to my account. Most of Saturday ticks by, still with no assistance from Bolt before I received an emailed response stating that they cannot issue a refund as "technically" the trip was completed. I found this absolutely ridiculous and continued to tell them so, requesting my due refund. They then sent me the same response today 25 September 2022, which has brought me to Hello Peter. STAY FAR AWAY FROM BOLT! Even though my life was in danger and I could have ended up in a far worse condition than I am right now, Bolt does not care about your life only the money you have in your bank account. If I can't even get a refund, I have already lost all hope on receiving my medical claim. I'm left here bruised and broken both physically and emotionally, don't end up like me and stay FAR FAR AWAY from Bolt.
