Felt unsafe and Driver stopped in an isolated area

Dear Bolt support

I’m writing to formally report a disturbing and unsafe experience I had with one of your drivers on the 19th of July 2025 at 09:43.

Bolt driver’s name: Kgangtumo The car : Brown Datsun Go Licence plate number: JC48GBGP Location : Mahikeng North West

The driver stopped the vehicle without warning or communication while the trip was still ongoing. He kept glancing at the mirror repeatedly. Without explaining himself or speaking to me, he then reached his hand towards the back seat where I was sitting, which made me feel deeply unsafe especially as a woman given the high rates of GBV in South Africa. When he started the car I opened the door and jumped out of the car. He stopped the car then asked me why jumped out of the car and instructed me to get in the car again. I told him to end the trip and payed him R61 in cash for the trip . I fear for my life as driver tried contacting me in the evening using the Bolt app.
