DRUNK BOLT DRIVER AND OVERCHARGE
Last night I ordered Bolt from Alula, Wilgeheuwel, Roodepoort, South Africa at 20:48 to Bridges Catering.
The journey takes about 24 minutes to 28 minutes. The quoted fare was R149. However, upon arrival I noticed your driver had adjusted the journey and made it seem as if the journey was 72 Kilometres (1 hour 44 minutes) and as a result I was
Furthermore, this driver Papanyana Sinky who drove an i10 registration number JP11PVGP was visibly drunk and rude. When I noticed that he was drunk I politely asked why he is operating, but instead he insulted and threatened me, and told me he had a knife in his pocket. I was frightened and kept quiet. I then shared the ride with my cousins for my safety. Once I arrived I noticed that he had adjusted the distance (I don’t know how), and instead I was charged R460 instead of R149.
I am furious and I want my R311. I’ve filed a complaint on the app but have only received R249 instead of R311.
- Is there no way of monitoring these drivers to ensure they comply with safety regulations, and bolt policies to protect passengers, and not put passengers at risk, and also not be a danger to other road users. This is a huge safeguarding and safety issue. Each time I raise it on the Bolt app or via emails, your *********** bolt people tell me about pre authorization. What does pre authorization have to do with an overcharge and safety concern?
