BOLT SA + Drivers = Organized Crime Unit!!!

It has been more than 4 weeks since my device has been in a Bolt vehicle with no intervention from Bolt and its support team, to assist me as their client to recovering my new 3month old device from their Bolt driver(Talifani Vincent Mashau).

The support team(Bolt) has been misleading clients to open a case of theft if the driver doesn't call a client within 24 hours to organize how they can recover their items. Countless efforts to communicate with the support team have been fruitless thus far. I requested them to share the drivers contact details for us organize a meet up or leave my device at any police station for me to pick-up. It is said that the driver is not finding a route near to me, even though I suggested that he drops it off at any police station and inform me because of their "routes". He has been given my contacts to communicate with me but nothing prevails. I now believe that Bolt SA is aiding their drivers to keep our items compared to their ehailing competitors (Uber), that maintains its reputation and loyalty to its clients. The acknowledgement of the driver having my device and Bolt support team being aware, is evident that it's a normality that clients never recover their items from Bolt and drivers.

It's saddening and appalling that such a big company can drag its brand in the mud, with drivers who are selfish and inconsiderate to clients that pay towards them putting food on their tables. The lack of proper monitoring and constant follow-ups will surely bring this brand to its knees.

I have been trying my level best to retrieve my device from them, as it contains my work, sensitive and confidential data/information on board. I fail to understand why is it so important for their drivers to give consent about their contact details whereas our items are in their cars. Clearly they are working hard together with their drivers for clients to forfeit their prized possessions. What I know and witnessed before is that in such cases if a client loses their item(s) and clear that the driver is involved is that Bolt should block his profile until the driver returns the item (in this case the driver acknowledged to having found the item but seem not to care to returning it). This seems to be the order of the day or business as usual, as clients keep losing items without any intervention from Bolt and its support team. I'm swimming in a pool of darkness hoping and praying that my device doesn't fall in the wrong hands.

By this time, maybe the driver has minds of selling it or has sold it as there's no pressure from management and support team. Reputation, integrity and loyalty to clients is key and partenant as Taxify now Bolt has has repeatedly allowing flaws of the past to catch up with them.

Anyone who had the similar incident and received assistance please give me a clear directive as how I can obtain my device back from the driver.

Long time Client of Bolt!
