Bolt is unsafe and unreliable!

I left my bag in the car by mistake as it was at night and I felt unsafe and this was around 20h30 at night (2025/07/24). Immediately when I noticed I tried to contact my driver as Bolt has an option to contact your driver directly within the first 24 hours after your trip. It was not even 20 minutes after noticing that I tried to contact my driver multiple times with no luck and the number kept on going into “user busy” and disconnecting. I search the number on Truecaller in hopes that it will give me more information about my driver and to my surprise the number comes up as “Temu complaints”.

I contact bolt support for assistance and they were not helpful at all. I request for them to get me the driver’s number so I can contact her directly (because as per the app I have the right to contact the driver directly with 24hours). They refused and told me that they have tried contacting the driver on their side multiple times with no luck and that as soon as the driver response they will let me know. To my surprise I am still waiting.

Now if Bolt had done a thorough check and only registered people with correct and proper documents I would have retrieved my item as I would have been able to contact the driver and organise a meet up just so I can get my belongings. Aren’t there certain rules and regulations that a driver needs to adhere to to become a driver for the company?

Bolt is the worst app and they really do not care for their customers because I believe if they did, they would have found out who the driver is and made sure they alert them to bring my belongings back before any further action is taken.

The bolt support is the worst and they just don’t care! I am so upset not only at the driver but at bolt as a company. They then further tell me to open up a case whereas this could have been resolved within hours.

How is it that bolt can’t contact the people that work under their company?

The car is a Nissan Micra (red) JZF676EC and the name is Cikizwa (female) on bolt. This took place in Gqeberha.
