A Nightmare Masquerading as a Ride-Hailing App

Do not waste your time or money on Bolt. This company is a **** wrapped in incompetence. I did not request a ride, yet I was forced to compensate a driver for a trip I never took. When I tried to dispute it, Bolt’s "support" (if you can even call it that) dismissed me with robotic, copy-paste responses. This isn’t the first time Bolt has allowed drivers to exploit their system—or their customers.

Worse yet, Bolt’s drivers have repeatedly put me in harm’s way. On three separate occasions, when I was already traumatized after being assaulted by my ex-boyfriend, Bolt drivers harassed me instead of providing safe transport. One driver refused to let me in instead he supported my ex for beating me up and left me, another cursed me for requesting the ride and the last who was a woman driver was so rude and mean towards me. Bolt did nothing when I reported these incidents.

Today’s fiasco was the final straw. After taking one legitimate ride, a second driver showed up claiming I’d booked him too. I argued that I hadn’t. Guess what? Bolt still charged me for both rides.

This company is a breeding ground for predatory drivers and *****ulent charges. Their app is clearly flawed, their drivers are unvetted, and their customer service is nonexistent. If you value your safety, your money, or your peace of mind, run the other way. Bolt doesn’t deserve a single star—or a single customer.

Avoid at all costs.
