Appalling Service

This company is on the panel of Old Mutual Insure. They do the repairs for motor vehicles that have been involved in accidents. This company was appointed to attend to the repairs of my vehicle at the beginning of February 2023. Upon numerous follow ups with them, I was constantly told they they were waiting for parts which they had ordered. After three weeks, I still did not hear from them. When I eventually got hold of them, I was told that their computers crashed and they could not do follow ups with the suppliers for the parts. I then became suspicious of the excuses from them, and I had done some enquiries with the suppliers directly to be told that there were plenty stocks of the required parts and would take between one to two days to be delivered when ordered. I then went back to this panel beaters, and they gave me the story that they couldnt understand why the parts were not delivered to them; at this point I went back to my insurance company and requested for them to assign the job to someone else, which they did. The new panel beaters received the parts within two days. The cherry on the top, I asked the insurance company why they had these people on their panel, and requested for them to be removed as I didnt want anyone else to go through the same experience; but all i got was an apology. I am still waiting for my vehicle to be repaired. But if the job was assigned to a reputable company on the onset, I wouldve received my vehicle within a week to two. Please be careful to anyone who has to deal with this company.
