R8000 for who? for what?

I signed a contract with BodyLab in 2013 which they very detailing in explaining and sounded simple and exciting. The guy explained that should I wish to cancel the gym membership for whatever reason, I need to notify them within 21 days to give them enough time to find someone to takeover my contract. I was moving from Durban to Centurion to work there and I went to the gym to find out if they have a branch in Centurion which was a NO. I then notified them that I will be cancelling my membership then, that was in June 2013 and I was going to be starting in Centurion on the 1st of September. I thought I gave them sufficient time for whatever they have to do. To my surprise they continued deducting my account until it came to a point when I blocked the deduction and a few months later an Amanda lady phoned me with and told me that I was in breach of my contract and for that reason, my whole 3 years contract amount was now due and had to settle the R8000 or else I will be listed on ITC.
