Body lab termination of contract
Good day, I have signed up for a gym in 2013 and I did a huge mistake by giving my banking details on the spot. Then the following month I decided to cancel my contract as I wasn't even going to the gym. I thought everything was sorted until I got messages in July 2017 saying I have been handed over to lawyers as my account has an outstanding balance of R10 000. It means they just didn't take me serious when I tried to cancel the contract. I contacted the Manager at Body lab Arcadia but and he said he will look into the matter and get back to me, but unfortunately he never called. I am no longer staying in Pretoria and at the moment I am out of Africa for few months. It is not fair to pay for something I never used and I even tried to cancel but they just didn't take it serious. It was handed over to Ver-Tex Solutions.

The complainant signed a contract on the 02/06/2014 for two members.
The complainant also registered a debit order instruction with her banking service provider using her banking details including her own PIN number.
The complainant defaulted and was handed over for the collection / litigation process.
The complainant alleges that she cancelled the contract. These offices have no record of any cancellation in terms of the Consumer Protection Act.
These offices request that the complainant supply these offices with a copy of the written, served cancellation request in order to put these offices in a position to properly attend to this matter.
