9000 for what?

i was approached to join the gym with some voucher. for 2 weeks then after that 2 weeks I will join the gym on 36 months period contract. I never went to gym no debit order was made on my bank,no call or anything or alternative ways to contact me, after all this time from them (gym body lab) then fast forward to today 26 May 15, I am told that I owe the gym R 9240 by some lawyers
