Body Glove screen protector for Samsung Galaxy Note 8

I purchased a Body Glove screen protector for my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 smartphone. The item was R400. I installed it precisely as instructed by the instruction manual. I'm a perfectionist so attention to detail is my way of life. I wiped the screen with an alcohol swab and made sure that the screen was free from any residue. The screen protector aligned perfectly. I had a Body Glove phone cover and screen protector on my phone. The both alligned perfectly together. All was great until I dropped my phone. When my phone fell, the screen protector popped out and my phone's screen got scratched. The cover protected the phone but not the screen protector. The purpose of having a screen protector is to protect the screen. How can it protect my phone's screen if it pops out on impact? One would think that by spending R400 on a screen protector, one would be getting a good quality product but that's clearly not the case here. Now I have to spend thousands on a new screen because I was stupid enough to trust Body Glove as a reputable company.
