Body Active Gym - disappointment in lack of complying with Covid 19 regulations

I recently joined the Body Active Gym in Bedfordview.

At first I thought what a lovely gym. Friendly staff. Adequate equipment. Signages on display that says that members need to wear masks at all times. That members need to clean "sanitize" equipment before and after use.

My positive thoughts was totally shattered when I used the gym the first time. Some of the members who were using the gym and equipment at the time, did not wear masks at all. Some members did wear masks but around their necks and not over their mouth and nose as they were suppose to. And very few members actually sanitized the equipment before and after use.

When a member walked past me without a mask, I asked her where is her mask, and why is she not wearing a mask. She responded by saying: "Why am I asking her where is her mask? Why am I not asking the other members why are they not wearing masks?"

Having to fight Covid 19 in December '20 myself, I could not believe the stupidity and the lack of understanding of the severity of the virus. After I confronted her she would walk past me without a mask and pretend to cough on me.

I then went to the Body Active Staff that was on duty, and ask them why is no one making sure that members are wearing their masks? Only after my complaint did they go around the floor and asked members to wear masks. I had to ask the staff on two separate occasions\days to address members who were not wearing masks.

I am very disappointed that the Body Active Gym in Bedfordview is not taking the Covid 19 pandemic seriously and that they are allowing certain members to be a risk for themselves as well as to the other individuals who are making use of the gym.
