Boat & Lifestyle ROGUES!!!!!

I dropped of my boat at Boat and Lifestyle to check why the engine was cutting off. Whilst I was there, I spoke to them also about a price on making a seat on the boat for me. They advised that they will come back to me and advise me but it should not be more than R4000. A week later I still did not get a response from them so I went there and met Alan(the co-owner). I enquired about the price again and he advised me on which way I could get this done. He said that they could cut the flooring and create and inspection hatch in order to get the seat done. I asked him again to give me a price before they started doing the seat as I had a limited budget. He advised that they will call me which never happened. A couple weeks later after numerous calls and follow ups, they send me a bill of R15750!!!<br> He also refused to release my boat until I made payment and was extremely loud and verbal. I had no option but to pay the amount. I now find out that the motor is also leaking oil which was never the case. <br> Boats & Lifestyle are rogues and it is in contravention of Consumer Protection Act that they more than tripled the cost of putting in a seat. This is truely unacceptable!
