Dishonest Boardware, George

We have a carpenter doing built-in cupboards for us. The wood was ordered at Boardware, George.

My wife went through to see a consultant, Clive, to arrange the type of wood she wanted to use.

At the time, Clive could not find the carpenter's cutting list. He jotted down her choice in his notebook and promised that he would update the cutting list as soon as he found it.

Needless to say, now the cupboards are done with incorrect wood. Boardware refuses to accept any responsibility or even issue an apology.

All they can say is that they work according to the cutting list. That's fair enough but that Clive in his eagerness to make a sale should not have made promises that he could not keep.

We cannot recommend Boardware as they are unable to keep their word.
