Refusing refund to RCS card

I really do love your store but I am very annoyed and dissapointed that you are refusing to refund the pressure cooker that I had bought from you on Friday. I am keeping all the other things that I had bought, just the pressure cooker I had received two of on the same day. The reason being that the lady in-store says that she cannot refund to RCS and wants to give me a gift card because her system doesn't allow the refund. Doesn't the consumer protection act state that I am entitled to my money back, especially within 7 days? Why does she not phone head office for help?
