None existing warranty support at Boardman's

I purchased a Vision Glass Mellerware kettle on the 19/9/2017 at the Northgate branch using my wifes' account. my wife and I were excited about the purchase because it came with a two-year warranty. Even the salesperson told us that it was a good deal and that if I had any problems with it I would just need to bring it back for repairs if the need arose within the two year period. So today 28/03/2019 the kettle stopped working(would not switch on). So I proceeded to the Boardman's branch where I purchased it; had a hard time finding it since the store has now merged with Edgars. After speaking to the customer service center for 10 minutes and getting nowhere; since they do not sell electric goods anymore. I finally spoke to the manager of customer services which explained to me that it was not on warranty. I showed him my receipt and he told me to read the fine print where it just states: register online. Not that you must register online for the extended warranty. In any event, he was not prepared to help me not even make a phone call to see if there was any other procedure I could follow. He basically told me tough luck; I walked out of the store very disappointed. I am a 69-year-old pensioner and found this also to be very disturbing. Getting home I found the website and registered my broken appliance with the correct purchase date which was accepted. I then phoned the supplier that is in Edenvale and spoke to the service center. They told me that I should take back to the store I bought it from and they should handle the repair. I told them that Boarman's was not interested in helping me. So I am going to plan a trip to Edenvale and find the service center myself. I am not happy with the poor service.

Reviewer Update
Hi, This morning I made the trip to the suppliers of the Vision Glass Mellerware kettle in Edenvale. It took me in excess of 45 minutes to get through the traffic and get to the destination. The Kettle has been repaired by the suppliers. Thanks for the too little to late approach.
