Electric Blanket - NO GO!!

<p>I bought 2 electrical blankets from Boardmans in Vaal Mall June 2015. Boardmans own name. Shockingly they only came with a 1 year gaurentee, which was ok, because the one 1 I grew up with, my parents got as a wedding gift (it is about 29 years old, AND STILL WORKING). Both the blankets worked for the winter of 2015, was packed away in it's packaging until winter 2016. 2016 we only took 1 out, as we didn't have a spare room at that stage. It only worked on 1 side, being within the 1 year gaurentee we took it back very disgusted. They exchanged it after an hour of debating, and didn't tell us that this 1 we just got (the exchanged one) didn't have ANY gaurentee. The new one worked winter 2016. 2017 - A few days ago, we took both out to put on, BOTH, only 1 side working!!! Where in your life? Electrical blanket only working for 1 winter? And it costs R600 on SPECIAL? How bad are their products, it's not even an everyday item and it doesn't last a year! Now, they won't exchange either of the blankets (the newest 1 being 6 days out of what we thought is a gaurentee). I will never buy anything electrical or recommend anyone else to buy anything electrical from them again! This is pathetic. You buy at a "propper" place, pay a hell of a lot, and this is the kind of products you get!!! Beware people of South Africa, this is a money making scheme!</p>
