Edgar's boardmans ****** me of R600

This happened a couple of years back I only found out recently. I had bought a Russell Hobbs electric kettle from boardmans Edgar's and after a month the kettle had and issue were it would not turn off when the kettle reached boiling point. I took it back to the store were i bought it and they said they can only repair it and cannot change it. Which I accepted, they took It in. That's when all the issues started ran up and down for 3months for this kettle and it was never repaired eventually they told me they could not find the kettle so they issued me with a gift card to get another kettle this was 5 months later. By that time I had already bought another kettle. I didn't need the gift card I kept the card for a long while eventually I approached Edgar's to find out if I can use the gift card there since boardmans had close. They said yes. I went to purchase something and tried to pay with the gift card. To my surprise the card was empty which i found strange, the card suppose to have R600 on it and it was never used so I inquired from the clerk. I was told this card has never been loaded with any money ever. So in a nut shell boardmans Edgar's has ****** me of R600 ran and gave me terrible service to. Probably nothing will be done about this since it was awhile ago. But make sure you dont fall victim to this, always check your gift cards from Edgar's group when buying one.
