1.False advertising 2. wasted of my time and 3.money and petrol

Being a germophobe my friends decided to get me a special gift which was supposed to be a 35L Eko SENSOR BIN as advertised online going for R1 699 under code SKU: ***5.So you can imagine my excitement when I received it a week before my birthday Monday(09/05/16). However when I got home and opened the wrapping paper, the box was written TOUCH BIN, I opened it to verify and it wasn't a SENSOR BIN :-( I also double checked the Gift receipt, it Read Sensor bin code SKU: ***5. I notified my friend the next day (10/05/16); she immediately sent an email to edcon/boardmans-online notifying them of their mistake. she received an auto-response email stating that she will be contacted within 24hrs and when that didn't happen, she phoned on the call centre and it was explained that for the item to be exchanged it must 1st be collected, then clocked back at the warehouse then only then the correct item can be sent to me or alternatively exchange at the nearest store. We were then redirected to Centurion Mall and were assured the Bin is in stock there. After a 35km to and from drive We were at centurion mall for more than an hour as the Gentleman turned his storeroom upside down to try and locate this item only to find that the online code is for what they have in store as a Touch Bin and NO Code Exists for Sensor Bin, he also said that Boardmans Doesn't stock sensor bins. We left the store disappointed and phoned the call centre again and the operator confirmed that they don't stock sensor bins and he doesn't understand why it’s advertised. He advised either an exchange or a refund. I then opted for an exchange. This morning I drove another 15 kms to Lifestyle Mall to get my gift exchanged I had to pay just over R500 to cover the difference for the Russell Hobbs Mixer, that went without a hassle or at least I thought. When I got home the **** thing doesn't flipping work. Someone please ****en FIX This. I wasted a lot of airtime and petrol trying to resolve this without a fight but my patience is getting seriously tested. I mean how hard can it be to buy an item online

Thank you for your response.please also note the initial item was never out of stock, Boardmans does not stock that item hence false advertising. The store (lifestyle) has been in contact however they are experiencing a challenge with a vehicle for deliveries as per the conversation with the manager. He said he will try and arrange with centurion mall to see if they will be able to assist. Please advise accordingly, Lethabo Maledo
