Selling Faulty Vehicles !!!

On Wednesday, 5th February 2025, we purchased a vehicle from BNA Motors, located at 374 Voortrekker Road, Parow, Cape Town. The sales representative handling our purchase was Luhann. He provided us with images of a Ford Fiesta 1.0L Ecoboost, which we agreed to proceed with, as Luhann confirmed that it was the vehicle we qualified for. Luhann coordinated with our bank to initiate the purchase process, and on 5th February 2025, we received a call from the bank to confirm the transaction. Luhann assured us he would take care of all necessary paperwork, including the roadworthy certificate and the change of ownership. However, to date, we have not received any documentation—no license or roadworthy certificate, nothing. Before taking delivery, I pointed out a dent in the car to Luhann, which he promised to fix. The dent was addressed, and Luhann informed us that the car had passed the roadworthy inspection, though there were a few minor things left to sort out before delivery, such as a faulty wiper. On 13th February 2025, Luhann assured us the car would be ready soon. We finally received the vehicle on Tuesday, 18th February 2025, around 15:50. Upon inspection, I discovered several issues with the car: The horn was not working. The windscreen water dispenser was malfunctioning. The car had uneven idling (misfiring). A warning light appeared at startup (Engine Service Now). There was a water leak at one of the pumps. I reported these issues the following morning, Wednesday, 19th February 2025, at 08:29 and 08:34, to Luhann and the aftersales team. Luhann said he would speak to the dealer principal to have the issues resolved. On Wednesday, 5th March 2025, on route to work, the vehicle unexpectedly shut off and wouldn’t start. After numerous attempts to contact someone at BNA, we finally heard back from the aftersales team on 10th March, who asked us to bring the car to their workshop in Parow. We dropped it off on Wednesday, 12th March 2025. Getting any feedback was a struggle. It wasn’t until 10 days later that we received a response from the aftersales team, only to be told that they would not cover the repairs for the faulty car they sold us. Naturally, we contested this decision and reached out to the dealer principal, Wynand. He responded to our initial message but then went silent for another 20 days after hearing our side of the story.

As of today, we have been without a car for 59 days, and there is still no resolution in sight.

Your business ethics is appaling.

Be assured it's not the end by far
