complaint

To whom it may concern,

Vehicle Chassis number : WBA1S12070V709722 REGISTRATION Number : CAA 4291.

I have a serious complaint against the BMW Sandton dealership. I purchased a 2017 BMW 120i Sportline from BMW Cape Town City. I had nothing but excellent service from them (Justin- the salesperson and Kent – his manager) I had a fault with the vehicle which Justin said, after enquiries with BMW SA, that I should take it to a BMW dealer to diagnose the fault on the vehicle. This fault relates to the navigation (it says – enter activation code).

I booked the vehicle in at BMW Sandton and took the vehicle in on Thursday, 01 September 2022 just after 08.00 Hrs. When I called at 14.00 Hrs to enquire about the progress, I was told that the technician has not even attended to the vehicle. I then asked to speak to the service manager who then said that they will attend to the vehicle immediately. I then received a call from Sagrie to say that I need to pay R1500.00 for this and that the Motorplan does not cover this fault and I must then claim it back from the selling dealer. I then said that they must sort it out with BMW Cape Town who I also called and was told by Justin and Kent that the cost to me is incorrect. After speaking to Kent and Justin, Sagri’s supervisor (Yolande, also not friendly at all) then said that they need more time to run the diagnostics by which time I was furious and then told her that to leave the vehicle as I will take it to another BMW dealer to sort out.

Yolande now says that they need more time after I had said that I will ne logging a complaint to BMW SA.

I am highly upset and disappointed with the treatment from BMW Sandton and humbly ask to be referred to another dealer where this can be sorted please.

Attached is a copy of the job card which I had had to wait over 20 minutes for when collecting my vehicle yesterday.

Please note that my motorplan expires end of September 2022.
