Pathetic service by black people for black people!!!!
I was at BMW Johannesburg Auto this morning, around 09h00-10h00. My car just decided to fail me and stop. I called the nearest BMW and we were received with coldness. They refused even for the towing truck to tow off my car just because the last service was done at an RMI approved motor clinic not a BMW approved dealer.
Moving from that, I just asked them to diagnose my car so that I am certain what is wrong so that if I take it to any other repair center, I will have an idea of what needs to be done. They refused, both the Technician and the receptionist. The Technician said he is refusing because if he diagnoses the car, it means he agrees to fix the car. Then I argued that why is he disagreeing, can he explain the issue. He then said because they are allowed by the BMW policy to attend to any car that has been serviced anywhere other than BMW. I disagreed with him that a BMW brand cannot be attended at BMW because it has been serviced somewhere else? Does that mean that my car can never be serviced at BMW ever again or be diagnosed by BMW and he plainly said I am correct. Then I said that means he's saying that my car is no longer a BMW and he said that's correct.
The receptionist was more ridiculous. She said if the last 2 services were done elsewhere other than BMW, they will not look at the car. Then the service history showed that the last one is the only service that was not done at BMW. I cannot even articulate what she said. She was all over the place.
Now I even said I have a warranty for the car, so I can pay for the diagnoses report and then they can claim from the warranty and if there's anything my warranty will not cover, I will pay the difference. They refused apologetically. I called the The Glen Auto, they welcomed my car with warm hands although I have not taken it to them as yet.
