Vehicle Damaged at BMW Constantia / Auric Auto Claremont
My vehicle was booked in for a repair on the 17th May. Just two weeks after owning it (without any marks, dents or scratches). The normal necessary checks were done the minute it arrived and the check sheet did not indicate any damages on the vehicle. Due to parts needed the repair took 3 days (spent 2 nights at auric or bmw Constantia as it is known by now). I collected my vehicle in my lunch hour and will truly like to commend the after sales consultant Mr Allie Isaac's for his great service. To my dismay that afternoon I discovered that the lower bumper was knocked and the body was chipped. I immediately raised the issue with the Service Manager who then decides to send me footage with the incorrect time (blaming it on load shedding) saying that my vehicle came in damaged. Now if he admits that's his surveillance time is off by almost an hour then who says the date isn't off?? Furthermore what his pointing out on the footage is merely a reflection and not even a close indication to the actual damage.
I was offerwd to come in and view the footage but each time I request the viewing, there's no response. The fact that the check sheet is proof that there was no damage (and any person that has booked their car in at BMW will be aware how rigorous the checks are) should speak for itself. Not once has Mr Mark Thomas even tried to call me to explain or asked me to physically assess the damage.
This is really not on BMW. The damage is not costly but its the principle behind it!
