BMS Cape Town - What a RUDE RUDE lady!

<p>I am highly disappointed & disgusted by the terrible treatment I received after visiting your premises on Friday. I am a Kinesiologist & respected person in my chosen field & was recommended by a colleague to visit your office. I live in Rondebosch-East & decided to stop by on my way home to see where you are located & to enquire how to go about purchasing your products. I had no knowledge of your no-walk in policy as all I was given was your address. The rude & sour old lady who opened the gate didn't even greet me, but hurriedly asked me what I wanted instead. I explained, politely, that a colleague recommended your company &, because it's on my way home, I thought I'd stop by to see where you are located & how to go about purchasing items. The lady then scolded me as if I was a uneducated teenager (I'm in my 30's), ranting about the fact that I can't just walk in & buy & treated me as if I did her the greatest injustice. In my defence, how was I supposed to know about this policy, if this was the 1st contact I've had with your company. She proceeded im taking my order, but I was still in shock by this lady' s abrupt & rude manner. I wasn't 100% sure what I wanted to order as the encounter had left me a bit shaken, but I had some idea, & also was hoping to get advice on some products as it was the 1st time I would have purchased these types of products. I wasn't shown a sample of the items I asked for until it was brought to the reception area. When it arrived it wasn't exactly what I expected as I was looking for a beaker with more precise measurements. Plus I felt I was being hurried into making decisions & wasn't sure if my choices were what I really needed. So I told her that I would only take 1 pipette and a bag of syringes & buy the rest after I check out the catalogue 1st. She responded by shouting at me, telling me that I HAVE to pay for everything I just requested. I refused as it was not what I really wanted. She kept on scolding & shouting at me, even accusing me of wasting her time. All this time I kept my composure, & being highly offended by her treatment, told her I'm only going to take the bag of syringes as I was certain that it was what I wanted. She refused selling it to me & literally chased me off of the premises, while still accussing me of wasting her time. I won't be recommending your business to anyone, including colleagues & business partners as we don't support any entities who treat their clientèle or prospective clientèle this badly. I'm going to make it my goal of informing those who have dealt with you of this humiliating & terrible incident as its generally agreed upon that we don't support businesses who don't value the very people who put money in their pockets. Remember BMS, no business is infallible. </p> <p>Judging by the other negative responses & which all share my sentiments, it seems BMS treats everyone this badly & mine is not an isolated incident.</p> <p>AND everything begins with the arrogant, rude old lady who runs the place. I wish karma gives this lady a big slap in the face & takes her business away from her.</p> <p> </p> <p>People like you don't deserve making money from decent honest people like us. </p>
