Requested to pay for pre-existing damage. Do not hire from Bluu.

Please save yourself trouble and hire from other reputable car rental companies.

I hired a car through investec travel and picked it up at King Shaka international airport. I was assisted by the same person (Sanele Mbambo) to inspect the car at both pick up and return. On the return date, we thoroughly checked the car and the gentleman confirmed that the car was in order. Two days after returning the car, I received an email informing me of a roof damage and that I had to sign an accident report. Mind you, the damage was on top of the roof of a minibus (Mercedes Viano). The gentleman that assisted me, when asked about his confirmation that the car was the same when we picked it up, claimed to not have picked up the damage when we returned the car because he was short and could not have seen the damage so someone taller than him picked it up. The question is, how could he have seen it when we picked the car up? Someone taller could have then checked for damages at pick up as well.

The car had other pre-existing damage on the rear right roof panel, that was not parked and I had had to point it out to him when I picked up the car. Bluu is trying to attribute this incident to me whereas I am certain that this did not occur while the car was under my control.

Not to mention that this is the third time experiencing issues with my deposit refund with Bluu and on the last occasion, bluu ended up refunding me after days of back and forth.
