I was assigned a BLUU hire car by my insurer as a courtesy car while my vehicle was being repaired in Cape Town.

An hour before I was due to meet at the panelbeaters, I was contacted by Edwardo Olkers to confirm the meeting address and time. He was at the panelbeaters before me, and petiently waited while I booked my car in.

Thereafter, he took me through the entire handover process unhurriedly, taking care to explain the nuances and implications of each paper I signed.

We then did an inspection of the vehicle for damages, during which he checked that the tyre change equipment was all in place, and he marked down several minor scratches and chips that had escaped my notice.

The vehicle I received was clean and comfortable, and drove without incident.

When my vehicle was ready for collection from the panelbeaters, Edwardo was able to meet me there at very short notice. The handover was quick and uncomplicated.

My cash deposit was refunded to me within 2 days (their Ts & Cs allow for 2 weeks).
