Very bad experience with home-based wrapping company

Good day! I'd like to share my experience with people who may consider using this business for their wrapping of vehicles etc. DON'T DO IT! The owner Mr. Jean-Pierre Heck and his wife advertise on Facebook via Marketplace as they supply a service of good workmanship and quality. The name of their business is called BLURRED WRAPS. In our case, my father wanted his classic car's bumpers and lower areas of the doors wrapped in a different colour. The issue for me came already in the beginning after we were instructed to pay 75% of the total sum (R4860). This is so that we don't decide not to pitch up which I can understand - however, the materials he has to buy costs far less than the R3645 we had to pay upfront. The next instruction was for the car to come on a Saturday afternoon so that Mr. Heck can start so as to be finished by Sunday afternoon. He did however tell me on the phone it takes approximately 4 hours but normally goes over this duration. By Saturday evening no update and no reply or even checking of my Whatsapp messages. Sunday morning he said it will be finished by the afternoon and so on....by the evening he called and said we can come to collect the car which on my arrival looked worse than without the wrapping! After I pointed out many of the mistakes, he rep**** by saying that he did not have enough time to finish and asked for the car to be left overnight to correct his poor quality of work. He said that he would go and buy more of the wrapping at 08h00 Monday morning and have all the mistakes sorted by 10h00. He said I can leave the outstanding amount and he will correct the work. After I declined to keep it for another day as time, cost and the responsibility of leaving a car which does not belong to me play a role, we agreed that he would come to our village where he would correct the mistakes in two weeks time. This never happened and he disappeared from planet earth - no answering of the phone, messages etc. After consulting a person for making enquiries at the business, we finally got him to correct the work. After making the journey to his home again and staying for the weekend in the city, the work was completed in 2 days and in the end he expected to still have the outstanding amount of R1215 for his services. I declined as I reminded him of what he said about not paying the outstanding amount and also mentioned that we had to again drive all this way at our cost including accommodation etc. This ended up with Mr. Heck taking the car's keys and forcing the inspector to pay the outstanding amount. There was also an altercation as Ms. Heck came up to me and became aggressive and started shouting abusively about me being arrogant and pointing to the vehicle, saying it looks like sh&t. I refused to continue this conversation and walked away. After the inspector paid, we were handed back the keys and left with anger and dissapointment. Please avoid this business as they are mediocre, unreliable, not professional or for that matter any where near good workmanship. The owner claimed to have 11 years of experience - seeing how he worked with basic tools, no gloves, work place not clean etc (working from his home) - not good!

I will report this incident to the relevant authorities and raise the question about working from your home without proper company registration, documents etc. Most probably, nothing will happen but I do hope my review will expose this outfit as ***********.
