Horrible & Unprofessional Service - A ****

If there was a way I would rate the service a -10. Blu Nation was by far the worst company I have ever dealt with, no professionalism & no plan for restitution.

After giving them countless calls (more than 5 probably) for an invoice on a tent hire, someone finally supp**** it to me. I specifically told them the type of tent I wanted and the dimensions thereof. I downloaded the picture from their website and sent it to Kuda/Ronald - the two guys I had been communicating with on WhatsApp. They had advised all was well as long as I made the deposit and balance a week before the event. I made all the payments and even paid the balance 3 weeks before the event. All was great and it was decided that the tent would be erected a day before since the event started very early the following day.

Come eve of the event, I’m calling Blu Nation with my calls going unanswered, I’m panicking and anxious at this point, finally they came back to me and advised that they would come through tomorrow morning - the day of the event. I agree because I understand that unforeseen circumstances happen sometimes. I call them at 5am the following morning as per our agreement, they confirm they are on their way. They pitch up a little late (again I understand). The tent is completely different to what was agreed on, it is dirty, and has gaps in the in the structure since it was properly fitted to the frame. The worst of all was the fact that it was 1/3 smaller than what I paid for. They give a nonchalant “we’re sorry ma’am but the one you wanted was mistakenly loaded into a van going to Malmesbury”.

We had to tell them they need to correct the situation, with my Uncle telling them that two of them would not leave until they brought the right tent. They finally came through with a smaller one that they added to the original tent which was just as dirty.

This caused delays in the proceedings which cascaded down the line of the plans of the day. I was so upset and hurt on a day that was meant to be of my happiest days. I still am.

All the energy and time that went into planning and looking for the right vendors over the past months was all in vain all because of their unprofessionalism. My vision crumbled and we had to improvise.

I could have gotten a dirty tent for less than half what I paid for. I did not even get an apology.
