Bluff Tyres does not honour the Firestone tyre Guarantee to the customer

My biggest regret is going to Bluff Tyres Jacobs ( kzn ) to replace my Firestone tyres . As i had to replace 4 tyres, their cheaper quote lured me in , I would be saving about R100 per tyre . Little did i realize the ongoing frustration i would be subjected to due to their incompetance .One tyre was still fairly new but it has a bubble defect on the wall and therefore fell under Firestone tyre guarantee . How it works is that they evaluate the contribution towards a replacement at the time of having the tyre replaced . This is based on the remaining tread life and a new tyre should be supp**** with the charge to me being the price of the new tyre less the contribution . That is how it had worked on a previous claim at Jacks Tyres which was instantaneous and hassle free and i paid the lesser value and this is the same procedure explained on the Firestone claims website . My saga with Bluff Tyres started on the sat 29/09/2018 Only after they has taken my tyres off the car , was i told that I would have to pay the full price for the tyre and they would submit the claim on the monday they would refund me the money of the claim . . Reluctantly I accepted this . I had no other option as i was told that this is how it works at their Company . As i left I was told that i had to take my "problem" tyre with me and they would advise when i would need to bring it back for the claim to be submitted . Strange !!.... I thought . I waited patiently the following week for some one to contact me but that did not happen and after numerous frustrating phone calls from my side , Mariska assured me that they had lodged the claim and i needed to drop the tyre off so that the Firestone rep could collect it and that i would get my payment within 2 weeks . So I waited patiently for 2 weeks and still no response so I phoned again amd this time was asked for my bank details . So i though YOO HOO we are making progress at last . I waited a couple more days and still no payment so today 24th oct , i queried it again and this time i was told that they are still waiting for the Firestone rep to come and collect the tyre and that my claim has not yet been lodged . So for almost 4 weeks they have been stringing me along with blatant lies and excuses . . I have tried to make contact with The Firestone claims department direct so that i can get some answers out of them but unfortunately the website redirects you to the dealer who has replaced the tyre ... who in this case was Bluff Tyres They have been absolutely useless . .This is not acceptable and i will never set foot in Bluff Tyres Jacobs again . Their service is shocking and their lack of interest in dealing with claims is an insult to the Firestone guarantee .
