Feedback on Customer Service Experience

I just wanna express my disappointment with the treatment I received from the store manager at your Pietermaritzburg, Market Road store by Polly Shorts.

We noticed sausages priced at R1 and suspected an error. I will be honest, we decided to take them to the checkout with the hope of getting lucky and getting them at the low price. The manager was called to the til and he indicated that the price was incorrect and refused to sell them to us at the displayed price.

We insisted that we wanted to know the rule about incorrectly priced items, assuming that the law favors the customer in such cases (I am being honest here). We then requested to take the photo of the price tag and the manager's name with the purpose of taking the matter further and seek clarity from authorities.

However, the manager became angry, shouted, and refused to provide his name, citing the POPI Act. My complaint is not about the sausages but about the behaviour of the manager. I believe the manager should have been polite and gave us the details. Also was the POPI Act app**** correctly? Does the Act prohibit managers from providing their names to customers who wish to escalate incidents to authorities due to uncer*****y about the rules?

I am bringing this for future purposes. As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect and professionalism, even in situations where there may be disagreements or misunderstandings.
