Disappointing

Upon visiting our once favourite store, Mndeni meats, to be disappointed yet again since the take over. Mndeni meats offered it's target markets reasonable prices, varying priced products ie choose within your budget. Since the take over the products are priced so that the customer is forced to buy the product at that price. The once popular rolls and buns that had queues waiting on the weekend has been left with a full rack of stale rolls. I had even chatted to a staff member last year and they said that the Baker was replaced along with her popular recipe and she was told to take the backseat. After years of her success? Why replace what was successfully working? I then get told by a manager that nothing has changed and it's doing as well as before. Really? People literally waiting at the bakery and each batch was finished yet now there is plenty left now. Where are the queues?

And even up until now, less busier store, hardly any sales on products, shelves full, the management pretend that all is good, the rolls are selling and that they are as busy as they once were...

Every single time I have been there since, I overhear a disappointed customer. Are these concerns being escalated or are they swept under the carpet?

Who is the actual target market or loyal customer? Have they analysed their profit since changes or are blindly making changes and attributing loss to the economy? Has there target market changed?

Previously your once stop shop for a braai, reasonable prices has lost its family household popularity together with its name. How sad in our small town. A place where we shopped monthly for 4 households has lost my business, imagine the rest. What sets this store apart now, nothing?

After not being back in 3 months, we've lost out on nothing.
