Disgusting ********* behaviour

To whom it may concern

I write this complaint to you as I feel there will be other “victims” at the expense of your company. I am one of your clients at SAB who deals with Blue chip accommodation. I made the transition from Durban to JHB and the company had kindly agreed to put me up for 3 months at one of your complexes i.e. Kilcullen Estate Unit 97. I had a pleasurable experience for all of the 3 months up until the last day….

Your employee/manager Thoko Sibanda had displayed the most unprofessional behaviour I have ever come into contact with in the service industry. 1stly, I had confirmed with him that I would be vacating the premises on 1 July before 9am. I asked if this was fine which he confirmed was not a problem and that I should leave the key at the guard house in the morning and I could be on my merry way. Plans were set, friends coming over to help move etc. You can imagine the horror I experienced when I received a mail from said employee Thoko on Friday at 11am that I am supposed to remove my items from the premises on Friday 30 June before 12pm. To my shock, I gave Thoko a call to ask what was going on. At this point, he went onto the defensive and denied ever speaking to me and said I had to remove my items immediately. I told him that this was not possible as I had not taken leave and could not get out of work until the afternoon. The response would shock any rational person who believes in customer service. I was told that my belongs will be removed forcefully and left outside for the next person to move in. This was obviously not a viable solution for me as I did not want strangers going through my items. I was then insulted by him, saying that I am being difficult and that my clothes are not valuable. This comment enraged me even further. He then threatened to call the police if I did not remove my belongs before the time he stipulated.

He cut the call and I had to call back many times to try and find a resolution. This is by no means the type of service we paid for and how we are treated by our suppliers. As I was not getting any joy from him, I asked to speak to someone more senior. The response I got was that he is “the boss”, and I will not be able to speak to anyone. Hopeless and distraught, I had to leave work, leave all my deadlines and sort out a problem which he had caused and was offering no solution.

I had moved out, crammed my belongs into my car and left homeless.

To the blue chip owners/managers, is this really the type of service you want to give your clients? Is this how you want your employees to speak to customers? My recommendation to SAB will be for us to never use blue chip accommodation again and to be struck off the vendor list. He actually told me himself that he has many other clients and that SAB is small compared to the others. Big or small, all customers should get the same level of service. I would hate for any of my colleagues/human beings to ever go through the turmoil I suffered at the hands of your one (employee, manager, owner…I don’t know who he is) Thoko Sibanda.

To blue chip accommodation, your company will be in dire straits if Thoko is allowed to carry on in this behaviour.

I await if anyone will respond to this.

A very dissatisfied customer.
