Blue Berry Beacon Ẹdenvale - No Go Zone

An Awful experience , Will never recommend this restaurant to anyone . The lack or non existence customer service , poor management and badly prepared undercook food , is a warning to the public to stay away .

After making a booking for a table of 10 people a few days in advance which included 2 birthdays within the group lead to the worst birthday memory to my sister and my son .

On arrival , we were seated and no point offered assistance in carrying 2 large cake boxes or an acknowledgment of the 2 birthdays within the group . This was the start to a disastrous birthday memory .

1. It took 15-20 min before a drink order was taken or a waiter attending to our table . Eventually when we placed our orders we where made aware the restaurant was short staffed and only had 2 waitress on duty , at that point we anticipated the we need to place orders as soon as possible.

2.Starters were ordered , which all arrived separately, some of us were done eating when some food still had to arrive . Once we got the attention of the waiter , we were told she will check , with no apology for the delay .

3. One receipt of the delayed starter- the chicken wings arrived raw on the inside , which could be eaten.

4. I had 2 birthday cakes which I requested to be kept in the fridge when we arrived, when asked can You bring them out with candles , we where told No they don’t do that , bearing in mind I had the candles in the box , the cake arrived in the boxes and left on my table , no special occasion was even considered . Not even a happy birthday was offered .

5.The disastrous Main meal arrived , the food took 45min to arrive separately which was now an expectation due to the starter round . The food was placed or shall I say thrown at the table and passed over our kids placed randomly . The chicken Breasts were once again raw and the sauce was gone off . The pizza arrived much later in which we still had to request condiments , after waiting some time we had to wake up to find a manger . As we had no waiter check on the table . This manager was of not much assistance either .

6.The last straw , after not having an active waiter , we had to once again find the manger to request some fresh glasses to be brought to our table , that was the point of no return , the glasses where handed over to us to take back to the table . It was at this point we had left all the food ordered and requested our bill which arrived faster than anything we ordered , this definitely was a sign they needed us to leave .

The reality is , We paid R1900 for Food that was Raw , sauce that was gone off , and non existent customer service .
