Trying To settle my account - No Discount offered - Reason Fixed arrangement

a few years ago i went through a bad patch and fell behind on payments on this card. i advised that i am unemployed and did make an arrangement to pay monthly. i did honor that agreement for a period of time until the financial burden was too much so i stopped payment completely. I have rehabilitated since then, not fully recovered but in a position to make payments. i called the centre and spoke to the agent, i asked if he can offer me a discount as i want to settle the outstanding balance. i noticed that the interest had increased the outstanding balance. the Agent says that i am on a fixed arrangement and cant negotiate. what is a fixed arrangement? i asked him to explain it to me - apparantly when you on a fixed arrangement you not entitled to a discount but if your account is handed over to legal you get a discount. what a load of hogwash. so to qualify for a discount i allow the account to go to legal. In the age where every person is struggling to make ends meet, BLUEBEAN is still willing to let my offer to settle go. No one explained the repercusions of a fixed arrangement. when they called me initially i just agreed, i was desperate trying to get this account upto date. now when i want to settle, i dont qualify for a discount. even collections agencies offer a discount, but not Blue Bean cos they con you into a fixed arrangement. if you ever fall behind in payment - never agree to a fixed arrangement, cos its a ploy to milk you of more money. BLUEBEAN - i am extremely disappointed, if you look back at my payment record when i was employed, i never missed a payment. at least consider that and assist a client to pay you and settle the account. I have been an excellent client, people who are not on Fixed arrangement - get discounts. Life is so, even when you want to dig yourself out you still knocked deeper into the ground.
