Credit Card fica blocked while stranded at airport

We were travelling from George to OR Tambo airport on April 22 2015. All our bookings were made with my credit card. The system at the vehicle renting company was off line and the clerk had to call Card division for authorisation. After speaking to the clerk the call centre operator wanted to confirm the payment with me. We recently moved from Brits in the North West Province to George in the Western Cape. With us still not settled we forgot to \fica"the credit card on our new address. When asked to confirm my address I gave the new address in George instead of the address in Brits. The call centre operator then \""fica blocked \"" my credit card and inform me to first \""fica\"" the card before I can use it again. I explained to him that I am from George stranded in Johannesburg with no documentation to \""fica\"" my card. It was 20H00 with no bank open and no documentation as prove of my residential address. I asked him to approve the payment of my rental vehicle and then block the card as we can only \""fica\"" the card on the next Monday when we will be back at home. He refused and we were stranded at the airport with no other acceptable means of payment for the rental car."""
