Account not closed as requested.

I went to standard bank to ask for the outstanding balance, transferred the outstanding balance into the account and went back to the bank to closed the account end of last year.<br> <br> Recently god an SMS stating my account is overdue with a contact number. Phoned the number and after several transfers I was told the account was not closed and there were some insurance and interest charged on the account adding up to something like R200.<br> <br> I explained to the person that I asked for the account to be closed end of last year already and even if it was not closed there should have been no deductions. From what was explained to me initially when they contacted me to open account there will be no fees unless the account is in a negative balance.<br> <br> She promised to investigate and get back to me soon, it's been 2 weeks and no one got back to me...
