Blue Designs:- avoid them like smallpox

We engaged Blue Designs to draft plans for a major home renovation in River Club, Northern Joburg.<br> We were quoted R21 053 for drafting the plans and submitting the plans and getting them through council approval. We naively settled the full amount owing in May last year before completion of the work and have had a nightmare experience dealing with this company. Due to the length of time involved interactions have been numerous so I will list in bullet form some of the things we've experienced:<br> 1. Claire Cardwell in unreachable for sometimes weeks and ignores all correspondence and avoids confrontation like the plague<br> 3. Claims dozens of mails and telephone calls were not received<br> 4. Numerous fabricated excuses including blame on third parties<br> 5. Numerous inconvenient technical errors on plans requiring multiple re-submission<br> 6. No urgency or follow up - blaming town planning office when they are not to blame<br> 7. Almost zero creative input on the actual layout of the house<br> 8. Association with shady engineers with poor reputations who abscond with clients' deposits<br> 9. Shouts at clients who are asking for delivery after a year of no satisfaction<br> <br> Steer away and save an ulcer.
