Loan account - 8 years later....

Today my husband received an sms from a company called Jansen & Jansen Attorneys, stating that we owe Blue Underwriters - Kagisano the amount of R21705.29 for a loan that he took out in 2007. According to my knowledge of the the Prescription act, this is a prescribed account and can no claims be made after 3 years of no contact or payment that was made. First off we have no idea who these people are and secondly, the unprofessional manner in which Jansen & Jansen Attorneys handled this whole situation is appalling. I am in good mind to log a complaint at the DCC, MCR and the Law Society should I not receive any form of contact before end of business today. I would also like to receive in writing that this has been written off and that we don't owe Blue Underwriters - Kagisano a cent.
