What an unpleasant experience, and one that I am extremely glad I would not have to repeat once this whole ordeal is over. When we first arrived there, the lady assisting us, just stood in the open doorway and looked at us as if we were lost and had no idea where we were, Her overall conversational skills were lacking and we had to basically ask a million questions to get all concerns cleared up. Luckily that was the end of it, or so we thought...Received the Death Certificate back from them with the wrong information on it, called them to try and explain the situation and get them to fix it, very rudely and 'shortish' she confirmed they are going to home affairs straight away. After not getting any feedback from them, we once again phone back, just for them to tell us, Oh yes, no they couldn't do it here, apparently it can only be done in Pretoria and they will now escalate the situation. Needless to say these are not the type of people you want to deal with after losing a loved one, it's already as difficult as it can be, and now nothing else can happen until they've sorted out their mistake, which according to them can only be done in Pretoria and not in Cape Town. I wonder how they expect to successfully complete the Capexit venture if they can't even fix their own damn Typo's on Death Certificates.
