I am so disgusted by the attitude and treatment by Dr Ross of my 17 year old cat,Hefty, who had just been diagnosed with Thyroid and parathyroid cancer by the clinic. It was agreed reluctantly that the kindest thing to do was to put our beloved cat to sleep. The test results and euthanasia would cost over R2000, which I did not have, so I asked if I could pay R400 and the balance on pay day. Thats when the nightmare began. Dr Ross grabbed Hefty's paw, which had fractured due to the calcium deficiency from the cancer and roughly tried to insert the needle into his vein, when this clumsy attempt failed she rammed the needle straight into his heart. He let out a load moan before dying on the table. My son 12 year old son witnessed the whole thing. when I phoned the Dr Ross the next day and asked for her details so I could lay a complaint with the Veterinary Council she became very aggressive and told me that this was standard practice to inject an animal into the heart if the vein collapses in its pay , and she had done nothing wrong and I was just trying to get out of paying. YOUR CORRECT MADAM I MOST CERTAINLY WILL NOT BE PAYING. YOU SHOULD BE THOROUGHLY ASHAMED. RIP Hefty
