BLU APPROVED PRE-PAID ELECTRICITY FROM BP VALHALLA

On 18th July I purchased pre-paid electricity from BP Valhalla which was a Blu Approved product. I entered the voucher number numerous times from late Saturday afternoon until mid-morning on Sunday, but it kept failing. I then looked up the contact details for Blue Label Distribution and called them at 11:30am. I spoke to a consultant called Thabang who was (I thought) very helpful and told me to wait about 30 mins. He was going to escalate my case to the electricity department as the voucher number was invalid. They would then SUPPOSEDLY send me a valid voucher number. I reitereated the urgency to him as by then I had only 4 units left. After 45 mins I called back and spoke to Asanda who was quite rude and very direct. She informed me that the electricity department does not work over weekends and they could not help me until Monday morning!!!! What pre-paid electricity supplier does not offer 24/7 support?????? I refused to accept that an answer and asked to speak to a manager. She left me on hold for 15 minutes - probably hoping I would get fed-up with waiting and put the phone done. Which I did after 15 minutes. I then went back to BP Valhalla and asked for either a refund or another voucher but the ineffectual "manager" on duty had to refer the query to his mother. The answer was that she was not willing to assist and I would have to return tomorrow (Monday) as she needed to first check that the account holder "did not owe the municipality any money"!!! How ridiculous - as any pre-paid electricity user can tell you you WILL NOT get a voucher number if there are outstanding amounts. Instead the payment you make will go towards the outstanding amount. How do they (the suppliers of the product) not know this?!?!? I then had to purchase another voucher (NOT FROM BP VALHALLA) and that voucher worked but it was not for as much as the first voucher. I then called back and spoke to another consultant (Linda?) and asked to speak to a supervisor. He ****ed the call. I then called back AGAIN and spoke to Refilwe who tried his best to assist me but because of the COVID situation he was not able to immediately make contact with a supervisor. I can but only shake my head in sorrow at the level of non-service from these organisations.
