Should be called BLOOMSBURY DELINQUENT CARS

We bought a vehicle Mercedes A250 Sport 2015, 31 December 2021 from Bloomsbury Investment Cars. The car seems to be in a great condition, and we were assured that the car is in great working condition. The did replace 2 items, the breaks and the tires, but once again we were told all is good. We bought the vehicle for R355 000.00. 3 Weeks later the car made strange noises, every time it changed gears, and the following day, the car lost all power. I took the vehicle to a Mercedes dealership in Cape Town and asked them to inspect what is wrong with the vehicle. Later that they I was provided with a full report from Mercedes Benz. Besides from a few electrical faults, the Turbo need to be replaced, at a cost of R92 000. We immediately informed Bloomsbury Investment Cars, and they casually said that we need to bring the vehicle back to them, and they will look at it. When I informed them, that we were informed that we should not drive the car, but welcome to inspect the vehicle at Mercedes Benz in the fores**** they became very reluctant. We informed them that the consumer act protect buyers from dealerships that sell vehicles with defects , and that they responsible for fixing the vehicle , or give our money back . They declined and will not cooperate. We have now started legal proceedings against them, and will go all the way if we have to. Luckily we are in a financial position to carry this through to the end, be careful from which dealership you purchase your vehicle and stay away from Bloomsbury Investment Cars in Cape Town
