Bloemendal is such a beautiful place, however, its such a huge pity that the food does not live up to that standard

<p>The Butternut / Pumpkin soup was terrible. It was not liquidated correctly and even the extra cream provided could not compensate as there were strings of pumpkin in the soup.</p> <p>The creamy seafood was sticky and completely overcooked.</p> <p> </p> <p>I was deeply disappointed by the main course since we never got any value for what we payed per person. There was no spit roast lamb / pork and no tongue was served. The meat was completely under-cooked and tough, my daughter even chocked on the meat. It was as if the meat was pre-cooked and preserved for a later occasion. You only served that one meat and it was disappointing.</p> <p>The stews were great as well as the vegetables, however, it does not make up for the amount you charge per person. The Buffet menu provided online set an expectation which was not met since the highlights on the menu were not served. As a Wine Estate, it was also disappointing to find no variety in wines were offered as well.</p> <p> </p> <p>I have been at Bloemendal in the past and this is not the standard my guest and I are accustomed to, in actual fact, I would not recommend Bloemendal to anyone again and I do not see myself ever going back there again.</p> <p> </p> <p>If the Lunch menu and Dinner menu differ, i would've preferred if you made me aware of that beforehand. </p>
