Shop closes with no advise & remaining contract

I went to Blockbuster on Sunday 13/09/2015 and found the shop closed & empty. A guard told me that it closed about 3 weeks ago with no advise or notice to us the customer. I have 15 units remaining, what is happening to it? They have my contact details as they use to send sms regarding specials, contracts and when DVD was ready. If they knew they were closing why did they not afford us the oppurtunity to use the units, sell us DVD`s or refund us the value? Their action comes down to theft / *****.
