Pathetic service

On the 24th May 2015, I purchased a installation voucher from this organisation for a DSTV installation. The rep at makro centurion explained a 5 day lead time which in turn ended up to a 10 day lead time. The tech rocks up at my place on the 06/06/2015, does not explain to me that his labour charge starts from the point of him entering my yard. He talks to me for around 40 minutes, then he wants to charge me a further R3500 over and above the voucher, then the price drops down to R800 only for cable then it drops down to R200. Eventually he claims R650 for cable and an extra hour for labour. We did an EFT, however we could not send him the proof of payment, but we showed him our bank statement that the EFT was completed. Tech refuses to work, throws the voucher on the table and leaves site. I contacted his office, spoke to Michelle, she refused to help us. She explained that she can assist us on Thursday 11/06, we requested for Saturday 13/06. We contacted Michelle yesterday and she explains that their rep from makro contacted me on Monday and asked me to return the voucher to Makro, which never happened. Now this organisation is refusing to honour the voucher and nobody can help.

Hello kev.govender11,

Thank you for raising your complaint on HP which allows us the opportunity to respond;

1. The technician conducted a site assessment of your home when he arrived. He presented you with various options of how to complete your installation.
2. You debated costs with him and he eventually contacted our office to get his manager to authorize additional free cable for you.
3. You were requested to pay for the inherent additional costs before the installation started and your spouse confirmed to the technician that she had completed this.
4. After 1hour and 25minutes, you refused to provide a proof of EFT for the additional charges.
5. The technician advised you that if you cannot provide proof of payment then he cannot proceed with the installation. Your spouse alleged that she was going to the bank (after 13h00) to get a proof of payment and you demanded that the job be completed.
6. The technician returned your voucher to you for a full refund.
7. We received a payment 4days later for R650 from your spouse.
8. We requested her to email your banking details for a refund. She has not yet responded.
9. Bank statement show to technician was inconclusive with Post dated payment.
